StarGate Technologies was founded in 2001 by one of our instructors, Mehmet Kilinc. As a computer service store, it quickly branched out into other venues. From the beginning StarGate’s services were expansive, including custom built computers and servers, servicing all types of computers, laptops, and mobile devices. We offered on-site tech support and network administration for medium to small businesses. From the feedback we received from our industry partners, it was obvious that people needed relevant knowledge now. Our clients could not afford the time to send their employees away for months or years at a time. We also noticed that our customers were sometimes overwhelmed with amount of knowledge in the computer industry. Our loyal customers told us they couldn’t figure out a way to gain a basic understanding of technology, and asked up to help.

That’s when StarGate Institute of Technology was formed. In the early years of the institute, our classes were informally given inside the shop (similar to training at the Apple stores). Our classes were easy and laid-back, and well suited for the basics. We understood that one-day seminars weren’t sufficient to meet the needs of our clients, and we quickly moved on to a dedicated facility. In 2010 we formally moved into our first dedicated classroom, with the latest technology, fastest internet, and certified instructors. All our other courses have a serious and rigorous workload. You will most certainly be challenged if you join the ranks here in pursuit to become an expert. At S.I.T. we focus only on the technology, and drop the nonsense. All of our instructors are certified and work full-time in the industry while also teaching. We are not greedy with our knowledge. We are the experts training future experts.™
